Beef and cabbage soup Rendang

Unlike " beef rendang" thick slice beef with thick coconut chili's sauce and cook simmer for long time,this beef and cabbage rendang are soupy dish,and made by cut thinly sliced beef. Ingredients : 1 pound thinly sliced beef ( round eye beef roast ) 1/2 medium  size cabbage 1/2 cup coconut milk 2 tbs vegetable oil 2 shallot 2 clove garlic 2 red chilli's/cayenne pepper 1 inch of galangal 2 bay leave 2 star anise 1/2 tsp pepper+ salt to taste 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1 tbs Beef base 1 tsp sweet soy sauce 5 cup water Preparation : slice beef in to small size/what u prefer cut cabbage rough big chopped set aside,,, chop shallot,garlic,galangal and chilli's until grounded heat oil on big soup pan fry grounded spice ingredients ( shallot etc) until cook or brown add beef base, and the rest of spice ingredients add coconut milk and water add sliced beef ( simmer for about an hour or so,,,after beef is cooked then add ca...

Baked Yellow rice

As an Indonesian I love fried rice,I always made fried rice whenever I had leftover rice, but this time instead of fry I bake the rice with vegetables and beef sausage as optional, You can make this rice  dish as vegan-vegetarian dish too,just omit the sausage. I use the beef sausage just to use up leftover but you can use any meat sausage you likes, adding sliced baby bella mushrooms in this baked rice is perfect, I recommended especially for vegan or vegetarian. Garden Tomato salsa

My little garden is growing :) i had a lot of tomatoes,Thai chili,cilantro and basil need to use them for sure,,,how about simple tomato salsa,,,dipping on the chips or side for nachos :) or topping on pita bread with humus and plan yogurt :)  Is nothing special just a simple garden tomato salsa. Baked strawberry tartlets

I love fresh strawberry in any season, but if I have leftover strawberry it doesn't look fresh anymore, I normally blend with any fruits to make juice or blend with yogurt. This time I had an idea to make a small dessert, strawberry wrapped with pie crust brush with melted butter and baked until crusty or golden brown drizzle with melted chocolate because can't go wrong. This recipe is very simple and easy to cook,you can use any kind tempeh that you like with simple ingredients grated garlic,salt and pepper, Can be serve as side dish , appetizer, or on sandwiches.
