Tempeh burger with caramelized onion

I love New York City, One of my favorite big city in the US, I always enjoyed visited Chelsea market which is not too far from our friend apartment , I can walk and walk everywhere, grab a cup of coffee or have some lunch in the street, I always had a great time ;) CHELSEA MARKET, NYC  This  totally vegan-vegetarian burger made from Tempeh is easy and quick to prepare,Topping with caramelized onion, serves with mayonnaise or ketchup for more taste, or  make the sauce made of mixed sun dried tomato pesto with mayonnaise. Ingredients : - 1 block tempeh / 8 oz - 2 clove garlic - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp black pepper - 1/2 tsp paprika powder - 1 Tbsp chopped sun dried tomato in oil - 1 Tbsp olive oil - 6 storebought burger buns caramelized onion - 2 sweet onion - 2Tbsp olive oil - pinch of sugar Sun dried tomato pesto mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp mayonnaise - 1 Tbsp sun dried tomato pesto ( mix them together ) OR s

Fried Tempeh in toasted coconut

This tempeh dish we called it "serundeng tempeh " in Indonesia, It's reminded me my family back home, my mother use to cook this Fried tempeh in toasted coconut so often, I'm glad that I can find easily in grocery's store here where I lived. tempeh is one of Indonesian food that I always have in the fridge,you can check some of  my  Tempeh recipe Ingredients: - 2 block Tempeh - 1/4 cup vegetable oil - 1 1/2 cup unsweetened grated coconut - 2 clove garlic ( chopped ) - 1 clove shallot ( chopped ) - 1/2 Tbsp fresh grated galangal - 1 Tbs really thinly sliced lemon grass - 1 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp black pepper - 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes - 1/2 cup cooked soy beans/soy nut or peanuts Preparation : Cut tempeh in cube/lengthwise or what you prepare In medium high, heat skillet with vegetable oil fry tempeh until golden brown about two minutes each side and set aside using the same skillet,with tablespoon vegetab

This recipe is very simple and easy to cook,you can use any kind tempeh that you like with simple ingredients grated garlic,salt and pepper, Can be serve as side dish , appetizer, or on sandwiches. Ingredient; I block tempeh 1/2 cup water 2 clove garlic 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp  white /black pepper 3 Tbsp vegetable oil for fry Preparation: cut tempeh by two to long size, then cut by two / one bock tempeh equal 8 pieces Grate garlic,put in a small bowl add water salt, pepper and garlic marinated about 15 minutes before you cook drain the liquid befor fry Heat oil on the skillet fry about 2 minutes each side or until golden brown or chrunchy  ready to serve on sandwiches or for side dish along with white rice and any vegetables

Stir fry Tempe/tempeh curry

From the sunny island of Indonesia, Tempe are one of most popular food in Indonesia. Tempe is easy to cook,can be sauteed,grated,stewed or baked for variety of main courses from sandwiches to stir fries.                                                      Stir fry Tempe curry Ingredients; estimates 1 8 oz Tempe 3 cup cut fresh green bean 1 cup sliced onion 2 tbs vegetable oil curry sauce ingredients: 1 1/2 cup coconut milk 2 clove of shallot 2 clove of garlic ( shallot and garlic grounded is best ) or chopped really fine 1/2 tbsp curry powder 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp salt + pepper ( taste it ) pinch of turmeric pinch of sugar 1 stalk  lemon grass just cut an inch ( mixed all curry sauce ingredients ) or just drop to the fry pan ( that what i do ) Preparation: Heat vegetable oil on medium high stir fry Tempe and sliced onion about few minutes until onion and Tempe look brown add curry sauce,,,and add Green bean for last let them cooked until green bean soft
