Tofu Chicken Roulade

Tofu Chicken Roulade
Normally I cook tofu as vegetarian recipe but this time I mixed tofu with meat/ground chicken just a try.
unlike my beef asparagus roulade recipe
Ridwan's Kitchen / Asian-spice mix: Beef asparagus roulade, this tofu and chicken have to be grounded,just like how to prepare to make a meatloaf,except I have chicken hot dog/franks in the middle :)

Tofu chicken Roulade
Ingredients:
1 block tofu soft/firm 12 oz
1 lb ground chicken
4 egg
4 chicken franks/hot dog
4 stalk green onion ( chopped )
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika powder

Preparation :
Heat oven on 400 degree F
beat 3 egg and season with salt and pepper
heat 1 tsp butter on medium low and make two thinly omelet,set aside

ground tofu by fork until grounded,mix with ground chicken
add chopped green onion/scallion
add 1 egg lightly beaten
add,salt,pepper,garlic powder and paprika powder
mix them well until combine and divide tofu mixture by two

prepare 2 sheets aluminium foil and spray or grease with little bit of butter
lay one omelet on the aluminium foil
layer with tofu/chicken mixture
arrange 2 chicken franks/chicken hot dog on the side
and roll them tight,and fold  them both edge to the side
bake about 35-40 minutes
serve with type of sauce if you like or side roasted/steam vegetables..

  5. I avoided tofu as much as I could and I would never think to use it in a meaty dish, it simply never came to my mind. If I get my hands on some tofu - and it will be soon since my vegetarian friend is coming over- I'll definitely try this one out, so she won't have to feel like left out tofu-eater.
