kue lupis/glutinous rice cube with coco pandan syrup

Kue lupis is one of Indonesian dessert made from glutinous rice,Its been long time since I have this dessert last time,,,When I visit New york city about a month ago,I found this glutinous rice cube in "Top line" Asian market in Brooklyn,I bought one package,sixteen little package inside.

If I have to make it this glutinous rice cube,It take several hours to make,honestly I never make it my self, I'm glad I found this Instant package,is ready to cook just follow the preparations on the package, the only thing I have to make is syrup/sauce for this dessert.

This dessert serve with simple syrup made from palm sugar,pandan fragrant and grated coconut on top.but I made my own recipe for the syrup,,,I just combine all ingredient and simmer on low heat

Ingredients:
glutinous rice cube ( store bought ) picture above.


coco pandan syrup :
1/2 cup shredded palm sugar
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
3 drop pandan paste
pinch of salt
( simmer and stir on low heat until hot and combine )

Follow direction for glutinous rice on the package,and serve with coco pandan syrup,,,,
