Spinach goat cheese ( fillo pastry )

On my preview posted,I mention the next post is gonna be " Pastry " I'm going to use my filo pastry before getting old,,,so I have enough to create two dishes from that fillo dough,one is gonna be simple dessert and one of them I'm about to posting now :)
The thing about this Dish,,,I don't know the name of it, but i've  been made this several times,,,,
Spinach goat cheese fillo pastry

I have this food about 2 two years ago,when a friend of mine invite us for dinner,,,and I really like it so much is kind rich texture from a goat cheese, I don't write the recipe  at the time,but I just ask her what is the ingredients in it,,,,so if you guys know the name of this dish just let me know :)
so that why I call it,,,Spinach goat cheese filo pastry,,,

 Ingredients :

16 pcs fillo dough ( 8 sheet each )
1 yellow onion
5 oz fresh spinach/washed
1 cup golden raisin
200 gr goat cheese
4 tbs melted butter
2 tbs olive oil
pinch of salt and pepper ( optional )
Creamy rich texture from mixed goat cheese,spinach and gold raisin
Preparation:
pre heat oven 350 degree
heat skillet with 2 tbs olive oil
Chop onion,,and fry onion until cook or soft/little bit brown
add golden raisin,spinach,stir until spinach cook down
and add goat cheese stir until combine,,,turn off stove and set aside.
Brush each sheet fillo dough with melted butter ( 8 sheets each )
divide spinach mixture by two,,just put on the middle,and fold them to long side direction
look the picture bellow !!
Grease baking pan with the rest of melted butter
ready to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
( make sure check it out around that time )



just come out from the oven,,,still HOT :)
just cool off little bit and ready to slice them !!
serve with a salad will be great.

  1. though I have not tasted goat's cheese before but that spinach inside the pastry looks good, spinach is the common veg I cook as its really affordable over here and comes really fresh.
