Rice casserole


 Ingredients :
4 cup cooked rice
2 tbs butter
1 cup frozen green peas
1 cup sweet kernel corn
4 oz raw shrimp tail off
3/4 cup milk
2 cup mild  shredded cheddar cheese
2 clove garlic ( chopped )
1/2 yellow/red onion ( chopped )
1 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red flakes pepper
preparation ;
pre heat oven 375 F
on the big mixing bowl,mix rice,green peas and kernel corn,set aside
grease baking glass pan with 2 tbs of butter,set aside
on the sauce pan,heat 1 tbs butter,cook chopped onion and garlic until cook/soft
add milk and 1 cup cheddar cheese
seasoning with curry and turmeric powder,salt, pepper and red flakes pepper
stir and simmer until the cheese are melted and combine ( for about few minutes )

pour the sauce into bowl of rice mixture
stir until mixed/combine
topping with raw shrimp
ready to the oven,bake about 35-40 minutes
add the rest of shredded cheddar cheese 5 minutes before you take out of the oven
bake more until cheese melted
or you can use all cheddar cheese on the sauce mixture either way !!
The next picture supposed to be cheddar cheese on top but I miss IT,,,so :)

  1. I have never tried this version you have shared, in fact never cheese with rice. You know being typical Asians, its always for us sambal and spicy fried rice.

    However, its good to venture further and try new dishes as well from time to time and sure will wanna going to try this rice casserole you have shared in the near future. With cheese added inside, I would simply enjoy your wonderful recipe.

  2. This looks like a great casserole! I usually use pasta in casseroles.. but why not rice!! Great idea. :) Well done. :)

To all my foodie friends, Thank you all so much for your support,comments and shared the foods recipes with me,it's been amazing year to know all of you and your creativity from your kitchen to the blogger world,it's been Fun :) and I know it takes a lot of time to do that,so I appreciated.
