I called it corn frita-cheese A.K.A corn and cheese fritter, fresh sweet corn on the cab mix with flour egg ,herbs and additional white cheddar cheese as a fusion to this Asian dish. Can be serve as side dish or appetizer.
- 4 fresh sweet corn on the cob
- 5 Tbspall purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp rice flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- hand full chopped green onion or basil
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Cut corn kernel on the cab, transfer into a bowl mix with the rest ingredients ( flour,rice flour,eggs,herbs,cheese and seasoning ) mix really well until combine.
Heat vegetable oil in the skillet, drop about 2 tablespoon corn mixture batter into hot oil and fry about 2 minutes each side or until golden brown, serve immediately is best.
These are so good, crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Glad I am around when you make them!ReplyDelete
