Sun dried tomato hummus

Another favorite recipe using chickpeas/garbazo bean, I made this humus almost once a week, I add sun dried tomato in this recipe to add more color and taste.









Ingredients :
- 2 cans of 15 oz chikpeas/garbanzo beans
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 lemon ( zest and juice )
- 2 tbsp sun dried tomato in oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup tahini/sesame paste
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp ground cardamom seed 
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 4 tbsp olive oil

preparation :

drain 1 can of chickpeas completely and drain half of water from another can

mixed all ingredients into food processor  except olive oil, pulse food processor until all ingredients are smooth and well blended

and add olive oil, pulse for another a minute or so,save on the fridge and ready to use for spread on the bagels or dip with vegetables you like.

  1. I count the number of time I have tasted humus, that too when I am in other countries. Back home it must be my sambal belacan and food with plenty of chili padi.

    That said, I should try out your recipe. I do buy chick peas and these are there in my pantry. Fabulous dip and I will love to pair it with some salted crackers.

  4. Never heard about sun dried tomato hummus, tempting to try..
    i've try with chickpean and green sweet peas before...
    i guess i need to made my own tahini, i'm so lucky with 100 mesh metal strainer....

  6. I have lots of sun-dried tomatoes in my pantry...and I will add a few tablespoons to my next batch of hummus. It sounds amazing!

Fried Tofu with lemon grass

Tofu is one of the list ingredients that I always have in the fridge, to make this recipe more easier you can buy fried tofu mostly available in Asian market, so you can skip fry the tofu and ready to slice them and ready to cook with other ingredients in no time, this type of dish recommended to serve with white jasmine rice is the best, Can be vegetarian or vegan dish just replace fish sauce with soy sauce. Dairy Free Mung bean Ice Cream

Green mung beans   are commonly use for sweet dishes in Indonesia, one of popular Indonesian dish  are mung bean porridge  or we call it "bubur kacang hijau" this sweet porridge can be serve as warm breakfast or dessert,  I was inspired to make ice cream recipe out of it, So I made dairy free mung bean ice cream, but you can use dairy ingredients if you like to try out. Mung bean seeds is very hard, soak them first in cold water for few hours before you cook, or if you soak over night make sure store in the fridge ,other wise if you leave them on room temperature they will  be sprout.
