Green papaya salad

I bought green papaya about two week ago,originally i will mix it with other vegetables to make Indonesian soup " lontong sayur" but you know what, I'm forget about it,until all mixed vegetables boiling on the pan ;(   ,,,well that papaya won't go bad for a two week or so,,,
so,yesterday i decide to make" Thai green papaya salad " i have that salad before many times,i can taste what spice ingredients in it,,,,i just guessing :)
Green papaya salad
green papaya cut by two
 Ingredients : estimates
1/2 green papaya /4 cup shredded green papaya
1/2 of english cucumber
1/4 red onion
1 cup cherry tomato

for the salad dressing :
2 clove of garlic
2 lime
1/2 tsp shrimp paste ( optional )
2 tsp fish sauce
1 tbs brown sugar
2 Thai chili's
handful of cilantro
3 stalk green onion
1/4 cup unsalted ground peanut
salt to taste if need it.
Preparation :
peel and cut papaya and shredded
cut cucumber and red onion/julienne
and cut  half cherry tomato
transfer to the mixing salad bowl and set aside
chopped  garlic,green onion,Thai chili's and cilantro really fine and transfer to the mixing bowl or measuring cup add lime juice,fish sauce,shrimp paste and brown sugar,and ground peanut,whisk it until combine ,,,and pour in to green papaya and mixed,,,,and ready to serve.
2-4 serving

I love green papaya salad! I make it often. Usually I use long green beans cut up instead of the cucumber, but other than that it is quite similar.

This sounds so fresh and tart I wish I could have some right now. ;)

Never had papaya and cucumber together in a salad. Great!
