Risoles

Rissoles are Indonesian snack, called  risol  (pronounced 'riss-ol'). They are commonly filled with chicken, egg, carrot, common bean, potato, and eaten with  chilli sauce  ( wikipedia ) Can be cook plain without bread crumbs, If use bread crumbs you will need egg wash for glue Coated with bread crumbs Use mashed potato or substitute with flour to thickened chicken mixture. Filling Ingredients : - 2 carrot/dice - 2 cook chicken breast / dice I use leftover rotisserie chicken breast - 1 cup green peas - 1 yellow onion / chop - 2 clove garlic / chop - bunch of green onion - 1/2 cup flour or 1 cup mashed potato - 1 cup milk - 2 cube chicken bouillon - 1/2 tsp celery salt - 1 tsp fresh grated nutmeg/half of fresh nutmeg - 1 tsp black pepper - 2 Tbsp butter and you will need : - vegetable oil for fry - 2 egg  and water ( egg wash for a glue ) - 2 cups bread crumb or panko fresh nutmeg Preparation : heat butter on medium hig

Artichoke and asparagus pasta salad Ingredients: I package barilla tricolor rotini 2 cups  grilled artichokes in oil (Del destino) 2 cup cut fresh asparagus dressing ingredients: 2 clove garlic 1 lemon ( zest and juice ) 1/4 cup sun dried tomato 2 tbs olive oil 2 tbs oil from grilled artichoke 1 tsp honey 1 tsp  black pepper Preparation: on the food processor or chopper mix all dressing ingredients together until combine, set aside cut artichokes in to bite pieces set aside trim and cut fresh asparagus and wash, bring water to boil,and cook pasta follow the direction on the package drop cut asparagus let cook together with pasta until pasta is done ( about 2-3 minutes remaining time ) drain pasta and asparagus, on the mixing bowl,mix pasta,asparagus and artichokes, pour with dressing and stir until combine ready to serve,warm or cold. kue lupis/glutinous rice cube with coco pandan syrup

Kue lupis is one of Indonesian dessert made from glutinous rice,Its been long time since I have this dessert last time,,,When I visit New york city about a month ago,I found this glutinous rice cube in "Top line" Asian market in Brooklyn,I bought one package,sixteen little package inside. If I have to make it this glutinous rice cube,It take several hours to make,honestly I never make it my self, I'm glad I found this Instant package,is ready to cook just follow the preparations on the package, the only thing I have to make is syrup/sauce for this dessert. Roasted tomato cilantro cream soup

We already had snowstorm in October in part of eastcoast but is not too bad here where I lived, is melted right a way in the next day,,,but all the plants in my little garden in the back yard is dry out but I still have the last tomatoes and lots of Thai chili pepper. I made roasted tomato soup with basil before,but this time I try with cilantro and cream,just want to use these tomato ,I don't want to see any longer in my kitchen and end up on the trash can :) so that why I made this soup this evening and I freeze these Thai chili pepper. Happy Halloween foodies,,, I've been busy lately,I miss my blog so much,I 'll be back with some post as soon as possible, a lot of going on last week,with my job and other passion about cooking after work  :)  cook for  Haley's baby shower and Ann's pumpkin carving for 35 peoples,but I forget to take  foods pictures :(  except these cookies,,, Jan hagel and nastar cookies LIttle scary thing :) Ann your halloween decoration is always amazed Me,,, Haley and morgan,congrats for  your fisrt baby,, Then I had a cooking class for " sisterhood meeting" at Beth El of Harrisonburg,I really had a good  time,they are such very nice ladies,,,some of them are vegetarian and gluten free,so everything on the menu is vegetarian and gluten free foods,Thank you all for invite me to Your kitchen,I appreciated. Scallion & Parmesan cornbread
