Beef rendang/ Beef in coconut milk chili sauce






Normally in Indonesia we  cook rendang on the stove on low heat temperature for hours, but this time I try to cook in slow cooker/ crock pot for at least 8 hours



Ingredients :

- 3  Pound round eye beef roast,slice about 1-2 inch thick
- 2 cans coconut milk  13,5 oz.

Spices  ingredients 


- 3 clove of garlic/ chop
- 2 clove of shallot/ chop
- 4 sliced ginger/chop

- 2 inch galangal
- 3 fresh cayenne pepper  ( red pepper flakes )
- 1 Tbs salt
- 4 clove star annise

- 10 cardamom seeds
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp palmsugar
- 2 bay leave


Preparation:

Mix beef and all spices ingredients and coconut milk in the crock pot, cook for at least 8 hours, serve with white rice is best !
